MAD MAX. THE ROAD OF THE FURY
An essay on Mad Max and the post-apocalyptic world narrated in George Miller’s films. Max Rockatansky, the hero that survived the collapse of the modern world, is called to another adventure when he joins the rebel Furiosa and the girls she leads to escape the tyranny of the evil king Immortan Joe and the warboys.
In the book I carry out a multidisciplinary analysis that embrace the various films of the saga, starting from the legendary ‘Interceptor’ dating back to 1979: the economic and social structure of this dystopian future, the philosophical interpretations and psychological implications, the aesthetics of the Wastelands and the survival instinct, modernity and nuclear war, a nightmare more relevant than ever today. The epic of the hero, worn down by guilt but always ready to fight for a righteous cause, can in fact be interpreted from multiple points of view and through the contribution of many authors: Darwin's evolutionism, Jung's archetypes and collective unconscious, Prigogine's dissipative structures, ancient cults and mythology.
MINIMA PRINCIPIA
Charlie Waters is a middle-aged man and a successful architect.

He recovers his old love and finds new ones, his psychotherapy sessions and his food problems. He recovers his professionalism and the consequent tendency of architecture to define things geometrically… Slowly, in the architect’s puzzle each piece falls into place. And when he reaches the apex of the composition, when everything seems to be complete, the architecture of his personality starts to collapse...
The interpretations of the text are several and equally important: the circularity of existence; the unconscious and exhausting work of symbols on the human soul; the impossibility for the protagonist to be different from what he is; the need to return to the origins to metabolize and understand his nature, until the inevitable rebirth...
